Emily Yu, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who has been with Dr. Ketan Shah since 2018. She specializes in acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders, especially in preventative care and disorders that can be further evaluated and treated with the newest technological advances and medical treatments in the field. She is also able to evaluate and treat the entire spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders, including GERD, eosinophilic esophagitis, H. pylori, gastric ulcers, dysphagia, liver disease, pancreatic and bile duct conditions, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and colon cancer screening and prevention. She stays up to date in the field by regularly attending national conferences and staying up to date on the most current research on gastroenterological conditions.
Emily earned her physician assistant degree from Midwestern University, Glendale in Phoenix, Arizona. As a southern California native, she moved back to Orange County where she enjoys hiking, kickboxing, and volunteering at local animal shelters or abroad at free medical clinics in her spare time.
